Lee Allen: MEd Autism

Since qualifying in 1991 as a teacher, Lee Allen has worked extensively with individuals on the Autistic Spectrum of varying ages and abilities in mainstream, special schools and in a consultancy capacity. Since 2009, he has supported a regional social communication diagnostic panel for paediatric assessment and diagnosis. Lee has worked in residential schools, training both education and care staff. He has worked for the National Autistic Society and regional groups. Lee founded a local charity to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition to access a tailored play-based scheme during school holiday periods. He has collaborated on working groups across the North West, to develop practice, training packages and resources to promote the well-being of individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Most recently, Lee has been providing expert advice as part of his role as Local Authority Advisory Teacher.
